Grow Wild Quilt - Night Bloom Version
Through lovingkindness, everyone & everything can flower again from within.
— Sharon Salzberg
Design Inspiration
“Eudaimonia” is the Greek word for “human flourishing.” Eudaimonia Studio designs are inspired by the ancient question of what it means to live well. The Grow Wild quilt is inspired by the concept of lovingkindness and, when cultivated, its ability to transform barren land into a field of wildflowers. In Buddhism, metta meditation is the practice through which this compassion is cultivated toward both ourselves and others by concentrating on kind phrases and goodwill. In our often fractured and antagonistic world, sowing seeds of metta means more connection, beauty & love within and all around us.
Details & Techniques
Grow Wild is designed with confident beginners in mind and is perfect if you’re ready to stretch your skills while still feeling supported every step of the way. The pattern includes clear, thoughtfully written instructions for five quilt sizes: baby, throw, twin, queen, and king - making it easy to adapt the design to whatever project you’re dreaming up.
There are two versions of the pattern to choose from. The Standard version offers a more structured fabric plan, while the Wild version is wonderfully flexible and fat quarter-friendly, inviting you to mix and match fabrics with a more spontaneous feel.
This pattern uses Half Square Triangles (HSTs) and Half Rectangle Triangles (HRTs) to create its dynamic movement. If HRTs feel a little intimidating, the pattern includes extra-detailed instructions, diagrams, and tips - and there’s also an optional add-on workshop that walks you through the process step by step. Whether you’re brand new to these units or just want a confidence boost, you’ll have all the guidance you need to make Grow Wild with ease.
This Night Bloom quilt is the “Wild version” of the Grow Wild quilt!
